a 1608 by brotherhobby can handle them easy. personal i like my 1806 motors for any 4inch prop i tried.

i flew 4inch for the most time on 1408 motors, that might be the smallest i would choose for 52 pitch.

They were making my 2105 GTS v3 motors very, very warm. Filtering heavy couldn't compensate. I thought maybe the motors weren't torquey enough for them, vut you are saying the opposite? Go smaller for high pitch?

i dont say go smaller for high pitch: i wouldnt use a smaller motor than 1408 for a 4052.
i fly or flew 4 inch on 1306/1404/1406/1505 these wouldnt be able to handle that big surface high pitch blade.

i wouldnt go heavy. big motors require big batteries, more rigid frames... i belive 4inch rotors we have are to weak about high rpms or about weight.

i never liked the 4052 by myself, i didnt get good results, even on 1806 where i spun heavier 5inch blades better.

I will talk to HGLRC to see if they can find some leftover 2006 3600KV in warehouse.

4032*3 is excellent stiff prop. Very durable.
I had old LDARC 1806 I broke on frankenstein 5" ultralight attempt. After poor results, I also tried 1506 on 5" 33g frame.

Back to 4".
When you run high pitch.. l look for motors with lower resistance. But lower copper losses, usually means higher magnetic losses.

If this is true, any idea why? Lower resistance should just mean lower gauge winding wire, or shorter winding wire, yeah?

With shorter/less winding, I can understand how that directly effects kv- but I’m not clear on the effect of longer/shorter or higher/lower gauge on magnetic strength.

I haven’t dived into rewinding motors yet, but I’m likely to soon, and this seems like it might be important information.

You have me thinking about frames now. I spent all this time perfecting a build on an outdated frame, not fully realizing how heavy it is, focusing more on the positives (free to me, very durable, plenty of space to experiment, rigid bottom plate that helps with resonance and tuning)..... But for $30 I can swap frames, lighten the build substantially, and improve flight time.

Correct
Copper losses.. = resistance heating
1mm thick wire .. 8 turns .. so lets say 8cm
2mm thick wire .. only fit 4 turns.. so 4cm

Magnetic or iron losses is because of back emf and eddy currents. Faster you spin the motor, the more "reverse power" it creates, because its a generator.. when you move wire past a magnet it creates current.

   I like the motors but the props I’m just trying out.

Looking for a set of those now.. pyrodrone is the only retailer I can find.. they have not had the 3500kv in stock for a while .. I just may either get the 3100kv or buy the t-motor 3400 KV (5m) 2.5mm inner shaft and hope for the best…

Carnage frame is super stiff.

It has 20mm and 25.5mm FC options.

But, only 1mm prop clearance to columns.
There is no camera mount.. I used ziptie.

There is hole for antenna but no mount. I use double straw. But typical 75mm uFL antenna is blocked by chunky battery on top.

So.. Im going to get longer antenna and mount battery below.

Finally, big ELRS antenna is a challenge.
