What batteries for Geprc analog phantom ?
#1
I’m using some orange ChinaHobbyLine 2S 550 HV cells and my flight times are 3-4 minutes.
I didn’t realize they were HV so I charged them as LiPos and not up to 4.4 volts per cell.
These are fairly new so maybe time will improve.
My battery alarm is set for 3.5 volts per cell and if I get a low voltage signal after a punch out I land.

    I’m using HQ T65MM props.
What kind of flight time should I be getting with 2S 550 HV ChinaHobbyLine ?
What cells have you found gives good flight time ?

Even though you have HV, charging to the higher voltage will dramatically reduce the life of the battery.

With the higher charge, you will probably get maybe 30 more seconds is my guess.

3-5 minutes is typical of flight time.

Li-ion will give you the best flight time. But you are limited mellow cruising.

I used 3S 550 HV ChinaHobbyLine and jumped up to 6.5 minutes.
I didn’t think about yesterday temperatures and they may have hurt battery life, but today I was getting about 3.5 minutes on 2S 550.

3S 550mah has 33% more energy then 2S 550mah. Equivalent 2S would be 800-850mah.

50% more energy Smile
3S 550mAh: 3 x 3.7v x 0.550 Ah = 6.105 Wh
2S 550mAh: 2 x 3.7v x 0.550 Ah = 4.07 Wh

Good calculation.

I have the RDQ 2s 525mah. When they were fresh I was getting ~5min. Now they're beaten up and put through like 300 flights so they're starting to die lol.

This post is a little late, but....

I run a 3S 1100 mAh GNB battery on my stock GEPRC Phantom (analog) and get between 15-17 minutes of fly time.

NOTE: This is just cruising around as I am not an ACRO stunt pilot.
