So this was a bit of fun, trying out the OSD overlay tool for walksnail was a success so I tried it with some GP8 footage.  Whilst I still needed the walksnail DVR footage to create the PNG files for the OSD, I then added them to a premiere pro project and was able to overlay it on some gopro footage.  Check it out, sweet!

Here is another OSD overlay tool from Avaase, works on both mac and windows. This one renders the overlay/video in one step and uses your graphics card so it runs very fast.
