0 Soooooo... my camera works if I solder the vid wire directly to the vtx, but all I get is a black screen when I solder it to the fc. Also the rx doesn't turn on (no little green light) and the LEDs won't turn on. VTX works fine soldered to 9v and ground. When connected to betaflight without a battery, I get no voltage read from the USB. If I remember correctly (I don't usually care to look that often) there's usually a 3~ volt reading when just connected via usb. All was working well until I took it out to fly the other day. As far as I remember, nothing happened in between to cause such damage? Other than a possible short on the LED wires but nothing happened after that. I can send a copy paste a dump from the command line or whatever it's called.

118 At first I thought you have a defective OSD chip or its simply not receiving any power but then you mention your RX does not turn on.
I have a feeling you have damaged the 5v regulator ship or some associated component.
LED's can put additional strain on the 5v regulator at times and even a simply landing where you did not disarm at the right moment can cause a voltage surge that may damage components onboard the FC.
How about you first plugin a lipo to you quad and count the number of beeps. Tell us if you hear 3 or 5 beeps?
Then with the lipo still plugged in connect the FC to Betaflight via your computer usb. Does everything power on this way?

118 Can you check if you have power to the 5v pad where you have connected the RX using a multimeter?
Your OSD chip might be defective for the video issues. But you can still use the FC for a digital build or just use the direct video connection between camera and VTX and rely on telemetry on the radio for batter prompts.
