Using VFAS on Jumper T-Like
#1
I would like my T-Lite to announce when the battery voltage of my quad falls below a minimum voltage. So I am trying to follow the steps of others which seem straight forward. See here: https://oscarliang.com/taranis-logical-s...age-alarm/

However on the T-Lite I cannot find the VFAS parameter to enter in V1 below

Does anyone know why this would be? Does it mean my AIO does not offer battery voltage monitoring over telemetery?

This is my AIO: http://img.banggood.com/file/products/20...Manual.pdf

Or is the T-Lite not providing this function, because it's an entry level radio?

Thanks for your help

I do not have your same AIO FC but looking at the manual it seems that its a FrSky D8 receiver onboard configured via SBUS protocol. It maybe the case that the telemetry support is limited to RSSI only.

Can you do the following:

- Ensure the Telemetry option is toggled ON in the Betaflight> Configuration section
- On your transmitter, "Delete all sensors" and then run "Discover new sensors" in the Telemetry page

Once you do the above, do you see any voltage sensors? In particular look for sensor named "A1" or "VFAS" or RxBt" or any sensor that appear to give voltage?

If not then you are limited to low voltage warnings via OSD.

The newer F4 whoop AIO's use spi based receivers which support telemetry by default.

Thanks kafie1980..

Yep I have Telemetry toggled on

I did as you say, deleted and rescanned for sensors and got this:

I configured add A1 to my logical switch but the A1 variable doesn't seem to get a voltage from the model. The T-Lite just announces 'zero volts'

The web site for the AIO says:

So would have thought I could get a working voltage to work with. Strange the text is in red though.?

The reason I want this value is I am only flying LOS and I do not have a display or goggles. So I don't really know when the battery is depleted...

I assume you have plugged in a lipo?

If the answer to the above question is yes, then I am afraid your receiver does not seem to send voltage telemetry to the radio.

Since you are not flying with goggles and cannot use the OSD for voltage monitoring, then the only other option is a buzzer soldered to the buzz + and buzz - pads and setup in Betaflight> Configuration> Beeper configuration> Bat_Low to give you a low voltage alarm.
