UK Pilots: King's Birthday TFR on Saturday 17th June 2023
#1
For anyone who is in a part of the South East or on the East Coast of the UK, be aware that there is a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) this coming Saturday (17th June 2023) for the King's Birthday flypast (Red Arrows):

While the weather does look a bit iffy for a flypast (cloudy and overcast) the TFR still seems to be in place so it looks like it is going ahead as planned. It will be lifted after 12:30pm so you can still go flying in the afternoon if you want to, unless of course it's raining like it is here.

A Lancaster bomber just went over my house (Just as well I kept my 45gram whoop out of its way huh! lol). That must have been part of it. And does all this kick off again in November when it is his actual birthday?? Flash git isn't he..  Big Grin

I saw a group of six F-35B Lightning's go overhead about an hour ago with their distinct v-shaped twin tail fins. I can only guess they were on their way back from the flyover.

It's the one off Coronation flypast that had to be cancelled. There's no way they'd inconvenience you and your 45mm Whoop again................   Whistling

Below is someone's video of the flypast in London that was taken from Waterloo Bridge.

@Luap - the Lancaster bomber you saw fly over your house afterwards is at time position 1:38, and the six F-35B Lightning combat jets that I saw fly overhead near to where I live is at time position 4:18.

I wonder how much the whole flypast actually cost. With all those military aircraft in the air it's no wonder there was a TFR imposed.
