My go-to fun quad is a Diatone ET150 with 1306 3100kv motors. I discovered a problem when the weather got cold and/or damp because the small endbell was hard to grip and would spin when trying to remove the nut. So what I do now is wrap one of these silicone wristbands around the endbell and that gives you a soft grip and extra leverage to undo the nut. It saves wear and tear on your fingertips for larger motors with sharp vertical vents too. You probably have tons of these around the house from giveaways so stick one in your spare prop bag.
I ruck my gear to the field in a 40L hiking backpack. It's small enough to hold everything I need for basic repairs and this little Dal prop tool helps keep the kit tidy. It has 8mm and 10mm openings. Find it with a search for around $5. Couple this tool with the silicone band and you will be a prop changing machine!
