Transmitter issue with subtrim and end points
#1
IDk what's going on. First, I can't get my center stick on throttle up to 1500... maxing the subtrim out only gets it to 1465... Same with throttle end point... the high is fine but I can't get it lower than 1044 even with a maxed out end point on the TX itself.

I have everything else centered for roll pitch etc etc but I get HUGE drift forward and to the right. So much so just to get the quad to fly balanced I had to trim on the TX all the way until it couldn't go and then i STILL had to move my sub trim to like less than 1400.

IDK what is happening. The FC is on straight, I calibrated the accelerometer with a water bubble level so that's perfect..... When I move the center points and all that it will fly balanced but then my center points are all messed up..... And if it was a motor I wouldn't be able to get it to fly level no matter what.... right?

It flies perfectly fine I just ripped it and had no issues... it's just that everything is all funned up. My next step is to try the calibration while in the air.... but IDk how that works really..... I might just reset my eentire TX to default but man what a pain in the ass that will be I have a throttle up that I have guinea rigged and that will be a super pain to get back perfect how I have it.....

Anyone got any reasons I might not be thinking of why this would happen? I mean, I have messed with my TX's trims... but IDK how to reset them. It seems like that might've been the issue but liek i said I retrimmed the pitch all the way back until it made a EEHH sound indicating I've maxed it out, and it's still not level so I had to change the subtrim just to fly it at all and I was out so I wasn't gonna come all the way back home without  draining my packs first.

Here is Joshua Bardwell vid on how to setup the Flysky FS-i6. He talks about the endpoint setup at about the 4 minute mark.

What radio do you have? If it is Spektrum or an multi-protocol module, some of these cannot get to 1000-1500-2000. In which case, you will need to use rxrange to correct.

Have you tried calibrating the radio sticks?

I know how to set up the end points but they only go so far. I had them maxed out completely and I'm still not at 1500. the literal max my subtrim was going was only 1465.

So here's what I did though. I did a factory reset on the TX (flysky i6), and calibrated my sticks.

I then turned on beta flight and set everything back up to the way I had it (luckily it was all there in beta flight still obviously since I did nothign to the FC)

Everything was centered already at that point (iBUS is the SH - the bees knees) xD It worked. I just had to do MINOR adjustments to the end points and now it's working beautifully again!!!

I know what happened too for anyone that runs into this or has someone ask about this.

When I first got this TX I used PPM and the center points were not right to begin with I had to really adjust the end points and sub trim A LOT.  I'm just about positive that was the issue. When I switched from PPM to iBUS I should've reset all the trims first!!! Since i didn't the new iBUS protocol read the trims I had as correct, so centering it was impossible which is why I was maxed out in trim before i could even GET to center.

So if this ever happens to anyone else this will most likely be the issue!!! Always reset your trims and end points to default before switching protocols!

Yes  I tried that then I said the hell with it reset my radio then calibrated... the whole story is in my previous post. Thanks guys! I hope this issue I just had and the solution will help someone in the future.
