Snow is a tempting stuff. It makes you want to go outside because everything looks beautiful. It also makes you go to places you wouldn't otherwise go, because it conceals the pits and potholes in that dirt road... which is exactly where we got stuck while searching for a nice spot to fly our 3" and 5" quads. But hey, maybe that's the universe's way of telling us, it wants us to stay and fly at THIS place. After all. who are we to judge?

It depends a lot on how you position your remote control in the car. Obviouisly the car body will block the radio waves so you want the remote control to be able to radiate out of the windows, which is why I'd always keep my remote control balanced on top of my knees. To me it feels strange to hold it like this and my flying certainly does not benefit from this... but at least I get a decent signal from / to the copter. The range is limited but I don't know by how much, because I don't go far when flying from inside the car.

Also, it helps noticeably to increase the VTX power (I do 200mW when in the car).
