The whole thing was cringeworthy at best. I did actually watch to the end but I was doing something else so I just had it playing alongside me. I never saw the chat window comments scroll so fast before. You could hardly read what was being written without stopping the scrolling. I saw loads of commenters who never posted in any previous live streams and we had guest appearances from a user called "Dr. Steele" and another called "Bullshit Detector" LOL. I'm sure people created bogus accounts just so they could comment anonymously without any risk of reprisal.

I have mixed feelings with it. You do need visionaries in technology like this but I agree 25k is a small prize especially as it offers no IP rights ongoing from the company. It'll be interesting to see where it goes and its good that people like to try new things and push for new discoveries. This could end up being a new toy for all of us to enjoy, who knows!

I only had to watch about 3 random minutes of it to confirm that it was exactly what I thought it would be.

If 25 grand isn't enough, think of the "$100 billion company" you'll be part of once "bonding" begins to take place.

I guess people saw the follow up below. It seems from this that he might be having second thoughts and I'm wonder if he will take a bit of a step back from future involvement. That was my takeaway from the statements anyway. Clearly the YouTube analytics from the interview live stream showed there was a lot more negativity than there was positivity around this whole thing, and that could hurt his channel if it continues. I guess we will have to wait to see if this "contest" or the results of it get any further promotion via his channel.

This is one of the saddest videos I have ever seen. Jason Bardwell looks and sounds like a drowning man. He has obviously been shaken very deeply by the criticism he has received. His body language indicates he is extremely uncomfortable and not sure of himself. Compared to his other videos, he makes much less eye contact with his viewers and is really squirmy in his chair. His tone is also subdued, not cocky and confident. He seems to want to apologize, but can't bring himself to do it right now.
It is also very clear that a big part of his acceptance of this project had a LOT to do with the fact that Terrance Howard is a celebrity. Mr. Bardwell admits he was star struck and failed to do any (or at least enough) due diligence regarding his involvement in the project. Now he is having second thoughts about attaching his name to it. I am sure Mr. Bardwell is aware that the interview made him look rather shallow and less of a "know it all" - and since that is his brand identity, he now feels threatened.

I wonder what Rotor Riot's stance is because they are still (I think) heavily involved with promoting this. Not to mention the people who actually entered the "contest".

I stumbled across JB's "How I got involved" video which prompted me to go watch the stream.  I agree that TH seems totally out there in left field.  Yet I also agree that over the course of history many things that are taken for granted now, were once generally believed to be the thoughts of a crazy people.  Things from the likes of Einstein and Newton for example.

For me the major difference between those historical thoughts and theories and TH's, is that those historical ideas were supported by demonstrable facts and data.  Most people may not have understood (some we still don't) the idea or they may have chosen not to agree with the conclusions, but they could not deny that the data supported the possibility that the conclusion could be correct.  The problem with TH is that he is spewing forth things using words and phrases that hold no weight in terms of demonstrable facts and data.

In addition, designing a FC to guide his Lynchpin, does not progress any science related to his (for lack of a better word) "New Age" thinking or comments you see in some of those videos.  In the very basic sense of flight, I think it's quite possible to design a computer (FC) that can control his Lynchpin.  Most new fighter aircraft would not be able to fly without vast amounts of computing power to keep them stable, because they aren't designed with sufficient lift to complete any kind of glidescope without constant input for stability..  But yet they can maneuver much better and quicker than anything before them.  So the technology is there (I think) which means that there isn't any significant gain in the science behind winning the contest.

And it flat blows me away when TH said that essentially if the winner "chooses" to accept the prize money they will also be giving up the IP.  (But hey he will let them keep royalties!).    Rolleyes

Is it the right time for a product to be called a lynchpin? As I think some of you might agree,  thirty Helens said no.

Seriously. There is nothing new here; just another guy's fairytale vision of some "new" order, some search for "his" meaning to life. Sort of like the Quantum Physics, Holographic Universe, or many other "search for the meaning of life" concepts.
Come on. Obviously, he doesn't believe in GOD, so he is just searching for a meaning, like searching for the "Holy Grail".

Personally, I believe in GOD and try to live life accordingly, to believe,  try to be good  Wink , be kind, and LOVE  Heart others.
I cherish each day, each moment, my life, my wife  Heart ; relax, just live, love, and enjoy life as much as I can for as long as I can.  High Five
