Hi Zomer,
To answer a few of your questions:
Quote:I may have fried the VTX board. I have a question . after connecting the power supply 5+, GND, should the LED light up? blue or red? Will the LEDs light up only when the camera is connected?
They both will light up. The red and blue leds show you the channel, band and power output you currently have configured. From the manual: " The TBS UNIFY PRO32 5G8 signals selected channel, band and power levels using a startup sequence of LED codes. The same sequence i s also repeated i n the menu to make i t unified. First the RED L ED flashes to indicate the item being shown. One flash for channel, two flashes for band, three flashes for power level. Subsequently, the BLUE L ED will indicate the value."
Quote:how to check :
a) damaged vtx on FC?
b) burnt TB VTX module?
maybe one of your friends connected the TB VTX Transmitter (TBS UNIFY PRO32 NANO 5G8 25-500mW)
* Can you connect VTX directly to the camera, bypass the VTX module?
* Does the blue or red diode on the UNIFY PRO32 NANO 5G8 25-500mW TBS Transmitter turn on when 5V power supply is applied, GND. Maybe only after the camera is detected?
If you have soldered the vtx to the fc and the VTX leds light up when you power it up, then it might still be working. The only way to ensure its working is to check that it is transmitting to the band/channel/power you have set it to on Betaflight (always remember to have the antenna connected to the vtx anytime you power it up)
Have you uploaded the vtx table into Betaflight?
The VTX will work and transmit despite having a camera connected to it or not.
This specific vtx does not have camera pads on it so you have to connect the camera on the FC.
Can you show a screenshot of your Betaflight Configuration tab and VTX tab? Also can you take a picture of your drone showing the wiring from FC to VTX?
