It is the mod chip for Taranis QX7 to get the module to work with higher baudwidth.

You don't need that fast inverter component if you are using modern transmitters. It's included for legacy reasons. I'm actually surprised that TBS still include one with the new Crossfire modules TBH because most people have since moved on to newer transmitters except for maybe a small handful of people who have kept hold of their older QX7(S) transmitters just because they like it and are used to it, but I very much doubt that anyone new to the multirotor hobby will be buying an FrSky QX7(S) transmitter these days which makes that inverter component redundant.

I am one of those "small handfull of people" that is still rocking my QX7 ACCST upgraded to hall sensor gimbals...

I recently found out that Santa is bringing me a Radiomaster TX16S MKII... Big Grin

I guess I won't be one of those people much longer. I will move my ELRS module to the Radiomaster and probably be selling the QX7 on FleaBay.

I should probably keep quiet about old transmitters because I'm still rocking an FrSky X9D+ SE (2018 ACCST version) which has been a solid reliable workhorse for the past 5 years without a single issue (knock on wood). I don't currently feel I need one of the modern transmitters with a huge fancy colour touchscreen that you can even see when you are flying with goggles on and is just something else to go wrong, so I decided to stick with my "antique" transmitter for the time being Big Grin I got tempted with the RadioMaster Boxer but I'm not sure about the momentary press switches on the back. The main thing for me is that my X9D supports current versions of EdgeTX and can take any external module I care to put in it including Crossfire and ExpressLRS, so it should continue to be useable for the foreseeable future.

Thankfully FrSky didn't cripple their X9D transmitters like they purposely did with the QX7(S) transmitters to try and stop people using Crossfire modules in them from a competitor company (TBS), so I didn't need to do the inverter mod on mine for it to work at full speed when using a Crossfire module in it.

Since I'm new, I use the TX16, it's a bit heavy, but I think I've gotten used to it Smile

, I wasn't with you in your previous years Smile
