I got my first FPV camera/vtx for my micro quad yesterday. I decided that since I plan on crashing a lot I would go with this combo that uses a whip antenna vs the standard lobe antenna. You can see from their video that with such a low mw vtx the lobe antenna isn't as beneficial as on a larger quad.
I got it in and installed it last night and it works like a dream. I flew 3 rooms away and got no static. I also flew through a room that had no lights on (but was slightly lit by the hallway) and could see everything. It seems to work great in low light. In fact in full light things were a tiny bit bright.
I also took it outside in the yard and flew about an acre away with no signal loss at all.
I should point out that my goggles do have this high gain antenna on them.
I haven't had experience with other micro cam/vtx combos but this one seems well worth the price to me.
