Shall I desire Eachine Trashcan
#1
Hi there!
I am new to this hobby. Actually not me, but my kid.
I wanted to build 5" FPV. But after some research I decided to get tiny whoop to be able to practice flying inside and outside.
I have read Oscar's guide and chose Eachine Trashcan which is cappapble of flying 1s and 2s and very fast outdoors. And it has 200mW VTX which is also very attractive.
I have ordered goggles (EV800D), radio (Taranis X9 lite), some spare 2s batteries with xt30 connectors from Aliexpress. Everything has arrived.
At the same time, I have ordered Eachine Trashcan with Frsky receiver from Banggood. After 40 days it hasn't been shipped yet. And I am being told to wait for some 10 days more... I am not sure that it will be shipped as there is no same drone with Frsky receiver on other online stores...
The question is, shall I wait till the end of time for Trashcan to be shipped? Or there is another tiny whoop worth buying in 2021 on the same budget (USD110)?

I got the tinyhawk2 indoor and race versions and am very happy with them. I got the indoor one to learn with and it's done well for me.

the best whoop actual is the happymodel moblite7, its for 1s only but it might be faster than the trashcan on 2s. it should be able the same way as the trashcan for in and outdoors.

as you still own some 2s batteries, one whoop i know and is nice is the eachine uz65, if it would be available it should be a good alternative :-)

a huge huge downside on the emax products is their proprietary mounting sizes and boardsizes, it cant be repaired with improved gear... no ability to upgrade anything... i wouldnt suggest an emax micro therefor.

The lesson to be leaned here is never to buy any stuff from B**g***d. They happily take your money and then continue to string you along by lying about stock levels and shipping dates. You then only get 30 days warranty on items and if/when you have any issues their customer service just tries to fob you off with discounts and coupons rather than taking back a problematic item and giving you a full refund.

Yeah, that's right. I am not going to deal with that shitshop anymore!

I have seen a lot of feedbacks on Ali saying that their moblite7 came with bended frame, so that left and right engines are not coaxial.
What I understand is that there is no ideal whoop. I will wait another 10 days for my thashcan to be shipped. If this doesn't happen, I will look at eachine and happymodel whoops which are available right now and are on my budget.

that is a question about logistics not about the product itself, i missed to mention the longer flighttimes on a moblite7 :-)

If you do end up getting the Trashcan then be aware of the risks involved with the XT30 mod. Many people have burned the onboard voltage regulator on the Crazybee F4 FC's doing that mod, me included, which seems to be due to a poor voltage regulator circuit design. The factory supplied Trashcan currently comes with the V2.0 Crazybee FC which is still prone to those issues. I now have a Crazybee V3.0 FC in mine which seems to be holding up to the XT30 mod but it only runs a minimum voltage of 2S which means no more using it with 1S LiPos, which I never did anyway so it was no loss. If you've not already seen the following thread detailing some of those issues then it might be worth having a read in preparation...

Post #28 onwards is to do with the voltage regulator issue.

SnowLeopardFPV, I have read about Trashcan XT30 mod issue. And I've got few spare capacitors in my table.
But thanks to hugnosed_bat, I went to see some Moblite7 reviews. And I was impressed with it flight time! I believe that it will be a perfect starting drone for my daughter, capable of flying inside, doing some flips and rolls outside and making some cruising long range flights on the ranch.
So, I cancelled order with BG, and ordered Moblite7 and a pack of 1s batteries from Ali. Whoop is expected to be delivered within two weeks.

I think that was probably a good decision. The Trashcan is really too fast to fly indoors. I've only ever flown mine outside. Whoops that are built to run on 1S are far better for indoor use IMO, so the Moblite7 should be a much better option. I hope your daughter enjoys it Smile

So far I've not had any issues ordering from AliExpress (knock on wood) and most of my orders have arrived in 2-3 weeks. I've found Ali to be far better and more reliable than B**g***d ever was.

i would say the moblite7 isnt just another 1s whoop, the category should be ultralight-whoop :-) funny comparison at 7.55
