Has anybody here managed to get the kiss log viewer to work?
I Spent a few hours today trying to get an openlog to work but no luck so far. I haven't been able to record a file with the correct format for the viewer software to read. I am getting data but clearly something isn't configure correctly.
I am using kiss osd and have the logger installed in parallel using a stacker pin set i borrowed form an arduino shield. It is recording data but clearly isnt correctly configured as the pc app cant decode it to show it. So trying to work out which firmware and config is being used on the logger.
OK I have just got it working!!!
Had a chat with the KISS log viewer developer and he filled in some of the holes and I worked out the rest.
He has a working firmware for the openlog in his github, but really it's just the same as blackbox but pre-configured with the correct config.
Next you dont wire up all the wires in parallel like the manual implies. If you connect the tx out of the open log, the osd info goes all crazy and slow.. eg at one moment it showed me having a batt voltage of 420v... not likely.
So... you just give it power and the RX to listen too, just note that the rx pin of the osd is not in the same location as on the openlog.
