Setting AUX channels initial level
#1
Question
Dear Friends!

I've got the problem with my Quad's ELRS receiver. In the BetaFlight Receiver tab all AUX channels have default value 1500 if the FC is not bound to Radio Controller. But I need certain AUX channels to have value 1050 in that state. I forced initial AUX level by "set" option to 1050 in Failsafe tab. When I bind ELRS to Radio Controller I can control the channel level but if controller binding is LOST the AUX level returns to initial value though I need it to be kept/held at the current level.

Is it possible to configure the initial level value for the AUX channel?

Thanks!

It sounds like you have not assigned a switch to the aux channel. Here is a good read. It might not be your radio, but you will get an idea.

In Betaflight if there is no input on a channel it will remain at a value of 1500 microseconds, except for the Throttle channel which will remain at the minimum microseconds value (885 by default). I'm not aware of any way to change the no channel input value in the configuration without changing the Betaflight source code and then compiling a custom version.

I totally misread the question.

Is there an end goal for what you are asking?

It looks like someone else previously asked a similar question on GitHub at the link below, but unfortunately no explanation or solution was ever provided other than it being said that is just the way it is.

To be more precise I'm using SpeedyBeeF4 FC pins to control additional equipment and I need 0 voltage on power on the pins and give 3V3 to those ping only at certain moments by switches during flight. Everything normal if the Radio Control is bound to FC. But I have already 3V3 at power on because of the 1500 level on AUXes if the Radio Control not bound.

It seems that if it's an F405 FC, you should have enough ports available to add a servo resource for each of the functions.  Then you could use "fixed" low range AND failsafe functions AND any AUX control to give you the flexibility you need.  I would have tested this, myself, but sadly (gladly?) I'm in mid 4layer update mode right now!  My entire fleet is moving to ELRS (except for a couple of big planks.)

Maybe one of the large "Cine" guys can weigh in, as many have landing gear and such to contend with????

Hope this makes sense Thinking
