RSSI and LQ

Can you set up OSD to display BOTH RSSI and LQ, coming from the Crossfire micro receiver V2?

no, you can only display one of them (or the lowest of both)
IMO having LQ is good enough for mini quad.

Since I have to choose, do you feel LQ is a better system than RSSI?  Particularly for longer distance flying?

LQ is more effective in judging your signal quality.
RSSI depends a lot on noise level, sometimes you get very high RSSI but in fact the noise is so high your signal link quality is actually very low. Sometimes it gets very low but your link is still perfectly fine as LQ indicates...
