0 What's a typical safe minimum RSSI to be seeing on after flight stats? With a TBS crossfire equipped 5 inch freestyle drone sfter some maiden circuit flights never more than 200m away my minimum RSSI was 33 ,%. Is that normal? I was expecting crossfire to be much longer range.

786 10-Oct-2023, 07:17 AM (This post was last modified: 10-Oct-2023, 09:44 AM by SnowLeopardFPV. Edit Reason: Added video. ) The raw RSSI value is meaningless with TBS Crossfire. All you need to worry about is the LQ, RSSI dBm, and SNR values. With Crossfire, just taking note of the LQ value is usually good enough. The LQ values of importance are an RFMD value of 1 with an LQ value 80 (1:80) which is when you should start thinking about turning around and heading back, and an RFMD of 1 with an LQ of 70 (1:70) which is when you should definitely turn around and head back. If the RFMD value is 2 (2:xxx) you don't even need to worry about the LQ value. You only need to start taking notice of that if the RFMD value drops down to 1.
EDIT: I remembered that Pawel Spychalski did a video on this topic a few years ago. I just found it and have linked it below. It's worth having a watch if you've not already seen it...
