Review Eachine Aurora 90
#1
I was quite excited to receive the Eachine Aurora 90 because on paper, it had it all!
Presentation:
The design is very inspirational to say the copy [Image: 1f642.svg] on theAXC Halo.
The advantage here is that it is offered fully assembled and configured in Banggoodfor the very affordable price for a machine of this kind of 139 €.
The format is 90mm but with the protection of propellers and comes with a dimension of 11.8 cm wide and 7 cm high.
Weight without lipo 2s 450mAh is 73 g and once it is added to 109gr pass.
The packaging is very qualitative and everything is well protected.

Package Contents:
  • The Eachine Aurora 90
  • a lipo 450 mah 80c 2s

  • a set of 4 spare propellers in addition to those already mounted.

  • the US power cord

  • b3 a pro 1-2s charger

  • Tool set for disassembling the chassis

  • Velcro for lipo
  • a manual of well designed and detailed

For technical specifications include:
  • 1104-7500kv of 1-2s engines

  • Propellers of 2035 four-bladed

  • Esc a 4/1 10A blheli_s 16.5 - 1-2 4 s already configured dshot600

  • 1 F3 Minicube mpu 6000 running on the firmware of the omnibus F3

  • OSD configurable integrated into betaflight 3.1

  • integrated RX (available in FrSky - FlySky - dsmx2)

  • VTX 48 channel NTSC / PAL 25MW in 5.8 g

  • 600TVL camera

  • One led strip with adjustable back in betaflight 3.1
Video :

Video of Maiden stock adjustment:

After the first flight, I realized that this frame did not like the wind that influences strong enough flying behavior!
At fault, I found 2-3 things not serious
  • The modes of flights were misconfigured (weapons and flight mode on the same inter)

  • The idle of DShot 600 installed and configured Original is too low (5) it must be up to 6.5.

  • In fashion addict soon as the gas was too low on my lucid, he fell as if I had disarmed! I fixed it by typing this command in the CLI betaflight <set min_check = 1050> because it is a 1100 original and the problem disappeared after this correction.
As against it is perfect for the indoor, but it's not all on the same trip a tiny whoop, performance is much higher, but also clutter.

A machine that will please both the beginner or experienced users not wanting to bother with installation and multiple configurations needed to achieve this.
I tried 2 different models lipo above, a 2s 450 mah dinogy 65c and one Lipo 555mAh 2s 30C / 60C no almost no difference except that 555mah for another 3 gr saving + - 40 seconds of autonomy.
After a few crashes, I have no particular problem on the protection of propellers.
Spare parts are also already available hereSpare Parts
It requires a few settings to really be perfect, but overall, the result is very satisfactory.

Nice review Pimousse! The Aurora looks cool and flies quite nippy, but from the video looks like it looses some altitude when performing acrobatics, was that just me or taking it easy for the maiden? Do you think it could do with a little more punch, maybe 10000kv motors?

I also like the 1st of your faults, I didn't realize Eachine made quads with weapons..!

I have one and it's awesome, the only issue I have with it is that I have only one freakin battery so far and by the time I get warmed up and excited it's time to land and go home...

Finally BG had some spares in stock which I ordered today: Gaoneng GNB 7.4V 550mAh 2S 80/160C

Guys, i bought one as well, but as i was sick and the weather is horrible here, i did not fly it yet. Anyway, i am not happy about the fact, that i have to remove the propeller guards to be able to reach the USB port. Or found someone some other solution to this?

Yeah, that is indeed a bit annoying. However, as many settings can be changed through the OSD there isn't a need to connect it to the PC too often after the initial setup.
