resource remapping on brushed betafpv brushed board
#1
I have a brushed betafpv f411 board with built in spi frsky receiver. I have failed to get it bound to my jumper with internal 4 in 1. tried everything, D8, D16. I talked with their support people. No luck. Before just trashing it, It does have a TX2 pad and was wondering if I could remap it to Rx and use a different receiver. I have an old fly sky x14s but it uses sbus protocol so prob couldn’t work being inverted. Could I just connect a Elrs receiver and only connect to rx?

It sounds like you are really on top of things but that said a friend of mine has also has a really hard time getting older FrSky Rx bound to his new FrSky Tx. I gave him a couple whoops and got them back! Good luck with the external Rx fix.

Hi Husafreak,

If he has a new FrSky TX then is probably using the AccEss which is NOT compatible
with the older
ACCST FrSky protocol. An external 4-in-1 module might work.

This is bane the FrSky got into when they tried to force everyone to buy a new
transmitter and then upgrade ALL of their old receivers. The two protocols are
simply NOT compatible.

Hi Firstcoastfpv,

Here is the product page for your BetaFPV F4 FR V2.

First, if you don't already have Betaflight configurator installed on a PC, then
download it and install it. This is a necessary for any adjustments or configuration.

It appears that this FC does have Betaflight on it. So, use a USB cable to plug
the FC into a computer. Open Betaflight Configurator, go to the CLI screen, clear
the screen, type RESOURCE SHOW ALL, press enter, SAVE to file, upload or attach
the file to a post here. That will provide a starting point.
