Repaired GepRC Cinelog35 - Crash Jello
#1
Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for opinions before I pull the trigger and order a new camera/VTX/antenna combo.

I crashed my Cinelog35 last week in a big way.

It looked like the only damage at the time was the shattered prop guards.

The frame itself looks fine with no cracks or any other visible damage.

The VTX antenna tube also broke but the antenna cable didn't look damaged at all. I just glued the tube back together and wrapped with electrical tape for reinforcement.

I put on new prop guards and put it back together. I have gone through the build ensuring everything is tight and as it should be.

This is the maiden flight after repair and here is the result.

Not only is there extreme jello in the image, but when I get about 25-35 yards away, the video bitrate drops down to 6-7mbps until I lose video signal.

Watch the bitrate drop off around the 20 second mark.

This is the goggles DVR recording. The footage from the mounted GoPro looks flawless. This indicates to me it's not an aircraft/vibration problem but one of the camera/video system onboard?

I suspect the transmission issue is related to the broken/repaired antenna and/or VTX.

The jello/shimmer in the image because I knocked something loose in either the camera itself or the VTX?

I suspect I need to order a new camera/VTX/antenna combo?
