Sharpest response, easiest tuning and literally no prop wash on good setups. drawbacks - more noise will get into your system and might cause oscillations and motor/ESC overheat Steps to remove filters in Betaflight - set d_lowpass_type = PT1 (in the CLI) should always be done first and I think possible on every setup
- hover your quad for 30 seconds, see if motors are hot. If they are you should revert back, If it is still fine than
- Remove notch 1 (set Freq = 0 in the config GUI or CLI to disable Notch filter)
- Fly for 30s and check motors temp again, still fine remove notch 2
- Now if your setup is still clean you could even remove dterm notch, although it might not make as much difference as the previous filters
This hack requires a clean build, such as having FC soft mounted and low ESR capacitor installed in the power or ESC. If motors get hot you should stop and revert back, your build is simply too noisy to have filters disabled. Video is awesome! you inspire me to re-look at my primary flying location, the super-empty field... maybe there are ways to make the perimeter more interesting! carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 Your rates are insane bruh! I am to the point where I am trying to fit in quicker moves in tighter spaces, and find myself under rotating at times. • Posts: 5,319 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,156 in 1,744 posts Likes Given: 2,031 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 • Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 (25-May-2017, 04:35 PM)Oscar Wrote: It's actually a lot lowered than I used to since we have super rate also play with SetPoint Weight, it largely changes your rates and expo as well... I will definitely. Thanks for the tip! Come to think of it I did have to play with SetPoint Weights on my micros to get them to feel right, compared to my 5". • Posts: 164 Threads: 36 Likes Received: 83 in 46 posts Likes Given: 124 Joined: May 2017 Reputation: 4 Nice flow Oscar!
