Remote controller for Tinyhawk 2 freestyle
#1
Hi,
I have an Frsky Taranis X9 Lite...
Is it compatible with the Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle ? (i'm waiting for delivery)
It seems i have to buy an Mutliprotocol Module... Is it correct ?
I would to know if it will be more simple to buy an Taranis QX7... What did you think ?
Thanks for answer...

Natively no, it is not compatible. The quad is D8 compatible and the radio does not have a D8 mode.

There are ways around if you want to do it. Like but multi-protocol module for the radio or put in a different receiver.

Yes, as long as you get the original ACCST version of the QX7 and not the newer ACCESS version.

Your best option IMO is to get one of the LITE multiprotocol modules to go into your X9 Lite. Then you will have a single transmitter that can bind to virtually any 2.4GHz receiver. The available compatible LITE modules are the Vantac MPM, iRangeX IRX4 Lite, and the TBS MPM.

Was in same situation last year, and I couldn't find Vantac or iRangeX in stock so I opted for the FrSky XJT Lite module.  It's not multi-protocol like the others, but if all that's desired is D8 support (or D16), I think its a decent choice -- and I recall it being a fair bit cheaper than the others (don't know if that's still the case).
