Range Achieving Problems
#1
I'd recently replaced my AKK FX2 Dominator with PandaRC VT5804-BAT by directly soldering into VBAT + and Minus.

Below is my vtx settings under betaflight

# vtxtable
vtxtable bands 5
vtxtable channels 8
vtxtable band 1 BOSCAM_A A CUSTOM  5865 5845 5825 5805 5785 5765 5745 5725
vtxtable band 2 BOSCAM_B B CUSTOM  5733 5752 5771 5790 5809 5828 5847 5866
vtxtable band 3 BOSCAM_E E CUSTOM  5705 5685 5665 5665 5885 5905 5905 5905
vtxtable band 4 FATSHARK F CUSTOM  5740 5760 5780 5800 5820 5840 5860 5880
vtxtable band 5 RACEBAND R CUSTOM  5658 5695 5732 5769 5806 5843 5880 5917
vtxtable powerlevels 6
vtxtable powervalues 0 1 2 3 4 3
vtxtable powerlabels 0 25 400 800 1.5 2.5

# vtx
vtx 0 1 0 0 3 900 1000
vtx 1 1 0 0 4 1000 2000
vtx 2 1 0 0 5 2000 2100
vtx 3 0 0 0 0 900 900
vtx 4 0 0 0 0 900 900
vtx 5 0 0 0 0 900 900
vtx 6 0 0 0 0 900 900
vtx 7 0 0 0 0 900 900
vtx 8 0 0 0 0 900 900
vtx 9 0 0 0 0 900 900

set vtx_band = 5
set vtx_channel = 7
set vtx_power = 4
set vtx_low_power_disarm = UNTIL_FIRST_ARM
set vtx_softserial_alt = OFF
set vtx_freq = 5880
set vtx_pit_mode_freq = 0
set vtx_halfduplex = ON

My Question is here
I'd already done with test flight under vtx power settings to 3 and it is clear with achieval range in below 400 meter. When I switch my UART 2 under my radio to change vtx power settings 4 (800 mW) but it still received the same range or not clear screen output over 400 meter as same to power settings 3.

Why is this issues happened?

Should I need to change set vtx_low_power_disarm = OFF for flying long range quad?

It sounds to me like you don’t have your vtx properly configured to allow betaflight to change its settings- either wrong wiring, wrong uart setting, wrong vtx table.

Or, you haven’t unlocked your vtx.

Or, you’ve got an issue with your antennas- mismatched polarization.

I'd confirmed that everthing about soldering to my port is correct and vtx table too.

I'm using all area antenna and no issues when I using on AKK Fx2 Dominator before.

How to unlock the VTX for pandarc VT5804 - BAT?

mw isnt what gives a good image its just penetraion of the signal. the issue might be somewhere else.
i would suggest a tbs unify for your next vtx or as a replacement. even the 400mw nano 32 does outperform most of the high mw rated vtxs.

what vrx module or goggle do you use? how is the vtx and antenna mounted? post an image please

FYI, I'm using Foxeer wildfire + Fatshark Altitude V6.

I'd found my vtxtable is missing with channel 8 column with values. I do correct it back now Smile. Maybe this is a problem effected to my flight range because of insufficient columns added into my vtxtable before I flied.

vtxtable powervalues 0 1 2 3 4
vtxtable powerlabels 25 400 800 1.5 2.5

My question is that the vtxtable powervalues settings is correct for RC Tramp?

I do finally check out and I realised I mess up with vtxtable powervalues also, I'd correct it back as below to suit for RC Tramp settings

vtxtable powervalues 25 400 800 1500 2500
vtxtable powerlabels 25 400 800 1.5 2.5

Is it correct?
