I’m new to the flight community, and started my first build with an fpv 5inch quad. I have been struggling to bind my transmitter and receiver and would love another set of eyes on what I’m doing. I have the taranis qx7 access transmitter, a speedybee f405 fc, and the frsky R-XSR. I watched some videos and read some forums, updated the firmware on the qx7 (2.3.15-otx) and on the receiver (RXSR_FCC_ACCST_191112.fr) and am using the proper D16 mode to bind but the receiver and transmitter still won’t bind… anyone have an ideas?

What firmware version is installed on the internal ISRM module of your QX7? If it's one of the 2.x versions it will be using the D16 ACCST 2.x protocol so you will need to flash your R-XSR with ACCST 2.x firmware if you want to bind with it using D16 mode. The firmware version you currently have flashed to your R-XSR is ACCST 1.x firmware. ACCST 1.x and ACCST 2.x aren't compatible with each other. Both the transmitter and receiver need to be on the same compatible version.

Alternatively, flash ACCESS 2.x firmware to your R-XSR and then just bind to it from your QX7 using the ACCESS protocol.
