Like always DoP makes a good point!  Big Grin Tongue 

There is no set guideline as to what is medium range or long range.  Whatever is decided upon, we should use kilometers as that is what most of the world uses.  

I like the idea of so many kilometers for the design....or is that better for the explanation?  I don't know.  

I would say if the badge is for "long range" not medium range it should be minimum of 5km.
