Problem with Angle/Horizon mode in Betaflight
#1
I have been testing the new releases of betaflight on my new build, and I am puzzled by the behaviour of the quad in angle and horizon mode.

I mean, I get that betaflight is focused in acro, and the quad flies nice, smooth and locked-in in acro, but in angle its completely uncontrollable: it just jumps from the ground with the most slight throttle input, and once in the air wobbles like crazy without control.

Does somebody else have the same problem with 2.3 and 2.4 betaflight versions? I have just flashed the last cleanflight version and it flies very good both in angle and acro.

My setup is blackout 5", cobra 2204-2300, RG 12, naze32

As fare as i know betaflight 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 is only meant for acro mode (rate mode). Any self-level modes will be unstable... If you want to fly angle/horizon mode use beta 2.1.6
Also change the PIDs for stabilized flight, someone said they are way high at stock settings.

Newer 2.3.5 and now 2.4 rc6 a lot more work was put into the code for good default settings in both level and rate modes (back to 2.1.6 level mode feeling). With airmode you need to drop min check to like 1020 and min throttle to 1050 as well as make sure your mid throttle is lowered to match your throttle hover point. If your using default setting of 1150 for min throttle when you turn on airmode it jumps from min command to min throttle when you first take off and its a big jump in the throttle curve. This will also reduce the dead spot on sticks at 20% throttle and lower.

I just loaded 2.7.
Horizon mode wobbles badly.
Acro is beautiful.

I need horizon so back to Cleanflight for me.
A shame as acro in betaflight is luxury.
