Only if you use synchronised rotors like on a Chinook Big Grin

The mind boggles at the prop configuration. Let alone whether putting a 40mm prop on those would cause it to explode. I wonder if you mounted two diagonally on the bottom and two diagonally on the top in a push/pull config whether it would work. Might be able to get a slightly bigger prop on. But silly idea. Smile

I never realised how big 2207 actually was or how heavy a 40g motor is, until now. Definitely not going to be sub 250g, whatever I decide to build with them. Wink Might be lucky if it's sub 500g.

Welcome to the world of 5" motors Big Grin

I suggest you get yourself a 5" frame and build yourself a ripper. Forget about anything close to sub-250. My 5" quads weigh over 600g with a 6S LiPo strapped to them. The quarries you fly in are an ideal environment for a 5" quad. Nice big area with no people around, and the echo from throttle ups will be insane Big Grin

Based on what Hug and Husa mentioned I am probably going to try a 6" on 5" and 6" props. Probably a jack of all trades type build. Run it one way for flowy freestyle and run it a slightly different way for range related antics. After watching a JB video where he mentioned that low kv 2xxx is more suited to flowy type flying, then that would suit me as I prefer that type of flight to really technical stuff. I'm more the dive down the side of a building and shoot a gap, than do 5 backward rolls followed by an inverted yaw spin. Tongue

Yeah those throttle echoes are crazy on the 3S 1202.5. Guessing on 6S they will be mental.

Yeah. I can hear my throttle ups from over half a mile away in an open farmers field environment, so the stone walls of the quarry are going make it sound epic. Just make sure you take some ear defenders with you Big Grin

Nice, looks like a ducted fan whoop. Imagine the bell had metal fins and were the actual prop blades, you'd have a nice indestructible basher.

Hi Pathfinder,

You could raise one of the diagonal set of motors about 5mm which allows the
props to clear (as I have done with the Rescue Quad). Now the question is how
much overlap do you want. Potentially, you could go almost to the other motor,
but that might be a bit of a stretch. You could, however, go just past the center
line of the frame which would be what? Maybe 2 inch? Max. Still, I don't think
that you will find props with a 5mm mount less than 3 inch.

So, the picture is a cute illustration, but maybe you want a larger frame.

A power whoop :-) but it will power on the ground only xD

I honestly don't see the props generating enough thrust, even at 100% to lift it. Four of those motors weigh the same as around 4 full whoops. When you add in everything else, yeah, I don't think the frame would take it at the bare minimum, before you add anything else to it. I think up to maybe 1kg of thrust those plastic frames would be fine, but those motors produce about 4x that.

FTR, the post was very tongue in cheek. Tongue
