My setup is 12a simonk firmaware unbranded esc MT1806 2280 kv emax motor 3s 2200 mah battery Flight time=1 minute Flight time with 3s 1350 mah=1.10 minutes Do change my flight time what do i need to do? Change motor (I really dont want to) Change batter to a higher c rating? Change props? Thanks. i was inspired by oscar liang and really want to get flite times which he does. • Posts: 5,322 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,159 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 the quad is simply too heavy for your setup. The motors you are using are not really good at carrying that much weight. if you really want to fly longer, you will probably need to upgrade them to 2206-2208 sizes, and upgrade your battery to 4S. But as for now, you might be able to get a bit more efficiency by using lighter props. what props are you using at the moment? • Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 Did i get this right? 1 min with the large battery 1 min 10 sec with the small one? Sounds wrong somehow. Additionally, what fc / firmware are you on? • Posts: 1,290 Threads: 67 Likes Received: 713 in 473 posts Likes Given: 1,216 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 23 (25-Oct-2016, 11:34 AM)fftunes Wrote: Did i get this right? 1 min with the large battery 1 min 10 sec with the small one? Difference in battery capacity and flight time is offset by the difference in weight.....i.e., the lower capacity battery is lighter by enough to add a little extra flight time? Yes but still... 2200mAh in 1 minute sounds terrible, that battery must be cooking. Maybe heavily overpropped? Like 6" on those 1806 perhaps? • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 (26-Oct-2016, 08:10 AM)ageorge Wrote: hello Hi ageorge, A couple of members above asked a some questions. They really do want to help you, but if you don't answer questions and/or provide more information, there's not much anyone can do. Simply "bumping" the thread doesn't help us know any more than we already do. Please provide the requested information. Thanks! Not gonna work. Build a 450 and put the gimbal on that. • Posts: 3 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Oct 2016 Reputation: 0 hey sorry for the late reply i was out of town i am now decided to build a 450 quad.Sorry for all the troube and thanks a ton for all the advice.Just saved me 100 $ • |
