Add expo.. it will “flatten”the curve.. also the rotation of degree per second should be lowered if it’s a lot (800-1000).. I am limited to a old laptop (no graphics card) and run “Flowstate”… it is a cheap racing sim, it helped me with learning ACRO and understand the effect of changing rates.. You can use ANGLE mode to make it easier for your first flights, it stops the quad from flipping over. It is hard to learn, but stick with it and it because so much fun! • Posts: 21,397 Threads: 593 Likes Received: 9,029 in 6,683 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 795 My vote also goes for stock everything. Don't mess with anything until you have at least learned to fly on the defaults. I started out learning on the stock rate settings and 3 years later I'm actually still using those stock rates (667 degrees of rotation per second) because I got used to them and my muscle memory is now tuned to those rates. • Posts: 2,448 Threads: 122 Likes Received: 844 in 686 posts Likes Given: 134 Joined: Feb 2021 Reputation: 20 I agree to a point.. due to some FCs (can’t remember what one) came with degrees per second up over 1000. But yeah. If it’s the standard 667… it is still a little “sensitive” in the center.. a little expo wouldn’t hurt • Posts: 6,131 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,293 in 1,840 posts Likes Given: 4,743 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 103 the rates are personal, you will need to explore. i would suggest the same as snow, defaults are good start. if you like to do racing, decrease the rates to about 500deg/s as start value. • Posts: 1,489 Threads: 92 Likes Received: 574 in 468 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Nov 2020 Reputation: 27 There is often too much focus on PID.. and too much blame on bad PID when you crash. Filters are there so quad doesnt react to the propwash and vibration of its own motors. PID is how quickly and agressively FC is "whipping" your motors to follow your inputs. There is no magic perfect value. It wont fix your flying. You just need okish ballpark tune. But most understated are: - camera angle - rates - prop • Posts: 664 Threads: 121 Likes Received: 24 in 23 posts Likes Given: 490 Joined: Apr 2021 Reputation: 0 ok, thanks to everyone for advices my camera now is in that position: https://i.imgur.com/8Vq0sG6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/R0kQM4y.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pGKzpNc.jpg looks like in 0 degres, how i can measure an increase of angle ? maybe with a goniometer ? • Posts: 6,131 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,293 in 1,840 posts Likes Given: 4,743 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 103 just by eyes, works precise enough. you can use this: • Posts: 664 Threads: 121 Likes Received: 24 in 23 posts Likes Given: 490 Joined: Apr 2021 Reputation: 0 (09-Aug-2021, 03:13 PM)hugnosed_bat Wrote: just by eyes, works precise enough. you can use this: Is like that 10° ?: https://i.imgur.com/pUKZw8n.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0j4NLH3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/28PXgnM.jpg looks already lot ! on liftoff i use 120° as wideangle and 25° of angle. • Posts: 21,397 Threads: 593 Likes Received: 9,029 in 6,683 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 795 (09-Aug-2021, 04:41 PM)Rosssiiii Wrote: https://i.imgur.com/pUKZw8n.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0j4NLH3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/28PXgnM.jpg looks already lot ! on liftoff i use 120° as wideangle and 25° of angle. That looks a similar angle to mine. I use a 25° camera angle on my main freestyle quads which suits the way I fly. • Posts: 664 Threads: 121 Likes Received: 24 in 23 posts Likes Given: 490 Joined: Apr 2021 Reputation: 0 (09-Aug-2021, 04:45 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: That looks a similar angle to mine.
