Opinion on YT channel
#1
Hello to all, fellow pilots!

I began flying a couple of weeks ago and I was told by the friend who built my quad, who happens to have a YT channel, that if I improve fast enough I can start posting my videos on their channel. I was wondering, just out of curiosity, what do you guys think about their videos: are they good or bad? what would you change in their style/locations?
I hope it's not OT or forbidden, I was looking for an opinion from unknown Fpv pilots, also because critiques can improve the overall quality.

From the few videos I looked at, they seem very nice. However, I wouldn't offer my critique as I don't think I have the credibility or skills to offer an opinion. The only I would suggest is that he be consistent with the theme of his cover photo so that he has a recognizable "brand".

I'm wondering why he'd want the videos of a beginner pilot on his channel. Maybe he's going to host a series of "Friend Pilot Videos"? Regardless, I hope you do improve quickly. There are a number of YT channels that show how to learn to flow like that. Look for "fpv flow tutorial". Be patient...those are pretty advanced skills.

I didn't look at the channel, but the question is why would you want to put YOUR videos on someone else's channel to gain THEM more subscribers and to gain THEM more potential ad revenue?

If you want to put your videos on YouTube then you are far better off starting your own channel and building your own subscriber base. Of course, less people will see your videos initially until you get some publicity and traction, but even today's well known YouTubers had to start from the bottom of the pile.

Sounds like your quad builder guy is also a great marketing guy ... "hey man if you get good enough, we will let you provide us free content to make us more money."

Lol sorry couldn't resist. As far as the videos they do have on there, it is more of a cinematic style along the lines of JohnnyFPV (but nowhere near the skill level) rather than the raw technical expertise of a Mr Steele. Definitely not a beginner level but certainly not pro.

If I were you I'd just get my own channel. Not like it costs anything.

When they have 10,000 subscribers then let them post your vids. Sounds ultra-snobby to me: "If you get good enough you can get in on our whopping 170 subscribers".

i watched the last channel post;
seems a lot work inthere, alot cuts alot speed changes... i guess that is nice work.

about the flight only, the focus wasnt that nice, cutted heads...
its difficult to get a nice focus over a long time, cut together alot takes iis much more easy.
its not a professional level, improvement possible. takes of moving objects is high difficulty.

if they like to go more professional, long takes and better focused would do a big difference.
good or bad? bad is if you dont fly :-)

the others inhere are just jealous xD joke
if its a good guy and fun to spend some time with him, why not? if its not about fun, why should you do it?
dont make the decision by the "level" of channel or work, if fun isnt the deal you wont get lucky :-)
