I just noticed that OpenTX 2.2.4 was released 6 days ago.
You will need a newer version of the Open TX Companion (v2.2.4) and also newer SD Card content (2.2V0021) for this new release. Everything you need is on the web page at the link below...

Yep, me too. There is nothing in the release notes that are going to affect me but I've always had OCD about being on latest versions of any software/firmware
I'll install 2.2.4 on my X9D+ tonight and then check that everything still works OK sometime over the next few days.
Installed on the last weekend just because I was on 2.2.0 and wanted to update everything to EU LBT protocol. Couldn't update my xsr's so stayed for now on fct but upgraded the tx anyway. For all of you on stock splash screen update that too if you have the time to make the graphics. I liked it quite a lot

Well I was just going to do the update on my X9D+ but the OpenTX download server appears to be down for whatever reason. When I select the firmware options I want and click on the "Download firmware" button in OpenTX Companion 2.2.4 I just get the following message...
Trying to access the same URL in a web browser just gives me the HTTP "404 Not Found" page so something must be up with the nginx web server config. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow and try again in the hope that someone has fixed the issue by then.
I will wait until some of my guinea pig friends here use this update for awhile before I step off. I still don't trust BF 4.0+ and I don't want a replay of that mess with open TX.....I wonder how long BF 3.5.7 will be available?
OK, I don't know what was up with my install of OpenTX Companion but any version I installed was giving me the same 404 error when trying to download firmware. I completely uninstalled it including deletion of any user settings, manually deleted any left over files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenTX\Companion 2.2", and deleted the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OpenTX\Companion 2.2" registry hive. I then re-installed OpenTX Companion 2.2.4 and I was able to download firmware files without any further issues. So if anyone else get the same issue then try doing the same.
My X9D+ is now on OpenTX 2.2.4 so I'll do a hover test tomorrow in the back garden and then test it out properly if the weather holds up and I get a chance to go flying later in the day.
Hello I'm new on this forum, and I find that Snowleopard has problem with his companion version. I get the same error by asking for downloading open TX 2.2.4 , download failed ! I try to do like you by deleting openTX files, but were is the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OpenTX\Companion 2.2" registry hive ? I cannot find it ?

If you don't have that registry hive then it means you've either never had a version of Companion 2.2.x installed on your machine or the uninstall of it succeeded cleanly. Uninstalling Companion 2.2.x should delete that hive automatically but it doesn't always seem to be the case. If yours is already gone then you are all good.
Were you able to download and install Companion 2.2.4 ?

Downloaded the firmware though the companion! Didn't had it installed on the laptop I did it though so it was a fresh install too, maybe that's the trick.
