Omnibus F3 and FS-iA6B receiver
#1
Hello,
I am new to this hobby and I need help. I have Omnibus F3 FC (Link) and FS-iA6B receiver that came with my FSi6 transmitter. The problem is I can't seem to find a way to make these two work together. Could someone give me advise on how to do it? I am using betaflight. Thank you

It's not the same reciever (but it's quite similar) so maybe this video could help you

I've used the FS-iA6B before one an f3 board and you only have to conect the reciever by ibus to a free uart of the f3 and in betaflight configure in ports that uart as serial rx, and then in configuration page of betaflight select ibus

Thanks, the video seems helpful, but I still have one question. Where can I set the output to be IBUS on my FSi6 transmitter?

I think it comes that way .now on the bottom of my transmitter not sure which one. but there is a button and hold down and it changes transmitter between IBus and sbus.
the trans is on a Eachine 220s updated version full carbon fiber.

I started with the exact same RX, came with my first TX, too. After I learned quite a bit it ended up in the trash, the big clunky monstrosity it is. I had to remove the plastic case to make it fit in my first build and then it barely did and took up far too much room. I had IBUS working on it but it's been awhile so I don't remember the details but here's a video that has specific instruction on that particular RX.

I connected the receiver to the FC as explained in these videos. Now it is on UART2, everything in betaflight is set up, but it still shows me only zeroes. What could be the problem? May the receiver be faulty?

I think you should toss the ia6b and get a better RX for a quad build. When I was using Flysky I used the ia6c RX. It's SBUS and IBUS and if you take it out of the plastic outer wrap and shrink wrap it you can make it fit fairly easy. I have 2 or 3 at home sitting in a box along with the rest of my Flysky stuff. It's cheap and would be so much better for a quad and easier to work with. Save yourself the frustration.

Also, do you have UART2 set to serial RX and have the BF config set to serial and IBUS?

Post a picture of the RX and how you have it connected.

OK, yours is a clone and no telling the quality.  I looked up the pin outs for the original Omnibus F3 your clone is based on and you're connecting in the wrong place.  It's probably an inversion issue.  Here's the correct pin outs.  Have you tried the dedicated SBUS/PPM connection?

I solved the problem. All it took was updating the firmware. Thank you all for your help.
