BTFL_cli_Nano_Baby_20231129_104851.txt (Size: 5.77 KB / Downloads: 36) I've been on a roll lately, setting up a lot of quads without beeper issues. This one has me stumped. It's a new Flywoo Nano Baby 1s ELRS Walksnail. Binding was a cinch. Set up mixes in Radiomaster Boxer for Arm, Mode, Beep, and Flip (Aux 5-8) each function on its own 2 position switch. In Betaflight a lot is already done, in Dshot Beacon Configuration I tried 1 and 3 for tone, RX_LOST and RX_SET are both ON. In ESC/Motor Features it's DSHOT300 and Bidirectional Shot ON. In Modes tab beeper is on Aux 3 and lights up yellow when Tx switch is thrown. It is flying fine and the other modes work correctly. Just no beeper... Maybe there's a missing CLI command? I don't know what to try next. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 • Posts: 459 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 96 in 85 posts Likes Given: 196 Joined: Oct 2023 Reputation: 3 Shoot, I don't know what "dumb file" means. It's a Diff All file and it says: set beeper_inversion = ON set beeper_od = OFF Could the problem be in there somewhere? Or should I have posted another file, like the Dump or Status file? • Posts: 6,113 Threads: 172 Likes Received: 2,287 in 1,834 posts Likes Given: 4,737 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 100 01-Dec-2023, 03:14 AM (This post was last modified: 01-Dec-2023, 03:17 AM by hugnosed_bat.) dump is like diff file, but does cover more informations. i believe the diff file does show all changed values and the dumpfile does show default code and adjustements ? just type dump into the cli and paste it backhere. BTFL_cli_Nano_Baby_20231129_101414.txt (Size: 25.32 KB / Downloads: 23) Dump it is then... • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 Sorry meant dump file. But I don't really see any issue with your settings. Just making sure nothing in the settings is causing motor beacon to not work. When trying to activate the motor beepers, you do have a LiPo plugged in then you are trying to activate the beeper don't you? And you do have the quad disarmed (motors NOT spinning) don't you? I'm sure the answer is probably yes to both of these questions, but lets just get those two points clarified before going any further. Also, are you getting the 5 start-up tones from the motors when you plug in a LiPo? Oh boy, I apologize, I just realized one motor is beeping. I see the #3 motor prop moving. I had been running a small fan on my desk to keep everything cool and could not hear the beeper over that. So. It does beep a little startup jingle, and it beeps when I flip the beeper switch. Flight battery power. But it is really quiet! Only the #3 motor is beeping. At DShot level 1 it is almost inaudible, at DShot 3 a bit more. I don't want to go more than 3 for fear of burning up a motor... But either way I have to have it close to my ear in a quiet room to hear it. So really it is pretty useless. I read a review where the reviewer said the beeper was nice and loud but that is not the case here. Or it is beeping at a frequency that is beyond me (and my hearing aid). I have other whoops and tiny quads that I can hear just fine. Is it normal for only one motor to beep? • Posts: 1,786 Threads: 61 Likes Received: 1,038 in 750 posts Likes Given: 98 Joined: Jan 2023 Reputation: 53 Tiny whoop motors on 1S do not have very loud D-shot beacons. You can hear them indoors close to your ears, but practically useless outdoors. If you need something louder you can solder on those low cost buzzers for a few cents and may add a gram or so. This one looks interesting and has a driver chip and might be even louder like the lost drone finders. https://www.racedayquads.com/collections...er-circuit Also you might want to double-check that your board does not have Bluejay 0.20, my nano came with that and ended up toasting an ESC. Make sure you get an active buzzer, not a passive one. I put a proper buzzer on all my quads, even a 65mm whoop. Sounds good! Today a friend came by to pick up a couple of old brushed quads I gave him, one was an Eachine QX90 that I had put a dedicated beeper on. It was annoyingly loud! LOL I'm pretty sure I still have a couple of those tiny beepers waiting to be put to use. With the hungry hedges in my yard and tall grass where I typically fly I'll take the weight penalty. I thought separate beepers was dark ages stuff, not so! As always, Thank you. • |
