Hello everyone. As my name says, i'm from Tampa, FL. Not a newbie builder but a newbie pilot ?. I'ved built 14 fpv quads for my son. I build, he flies. I currently have all of them on my wall. My son joined the U.S. Marine Corp. He is currently in active duty stationed in N.C. He can't fly his quads there. So watching thse quads collect dust so i decided to start using a sim so i can try to become at least a decent pilot.LoL. Anyway, thank you for allowing me to join and happy flying to everyone. Forgot to mention, I'ved also built 5 electric skateboards, sold 3 and kept 2 for my son and i. Now, those i do ride and my son did take his to the Marine base and uses it everyday when not using his car. He's become very popular on base cause of the electric all terrain skateboard he enjoys riding. Hope to gain much more knowledge here and make a few friends along the way. Thanks again. Any pictures of the quads you've built? How's the sim practice going? Just started using Currykitten's sim on steam, any sims you recomend? i've been trying to post pics since i joined but it keeps rejecting them, system says files too big, need to be up to 300kb. I only have apple devices, any tricks on how to post pictures would help. • Posts: 8 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 5 in 5 posts Likes Given: 13 Joined: Aug 2022 Reputation: 0 Posts: 8 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 5 in 5 posts Likes Given: 13 Joined: Aug 2022 Reputation: 0 Just finished the squirt V2 and i installed ducts to a Roma F5 i had built. Welcome That is a very interesting whoop with the red ducts. I am interested in the landing gear, but can not see it very well in the picture. Maybe you have more pictures of that one. Is that the Squirt V2?? What size?? By the way, we are not all Acro Stunt pilots. I like to cruise easy at high altitudes with a 4 inch or light weight 5 inch quad; smooth and steady. Occassionally, I might do some proximity flying with a 2.5 inch quad. Inside, I fly tiny whoops. We live in Palm Coast, FL. I'm not a racer, but practicing on the tracks in Velocidrone is the best way to improve your piloting skills IMO. Since your laps are timed there is a quantitative metric by which to gauge your progress, and the quad control you must learn for racing directly translates and benefits every other type of flying you can do. All the red parts i 3d printed in tpu cause the frame doesn't come with it although it can be purchased with it but brings the price up to around $85. I paid $28 for the frame.
