New Quad Will Arm Once but then Have to Power Cycle?
#1
I've been out of the game for almost a year now and ran into what I am sure is operator error but for the life of me I can't figure it out.  Just finished a new 5" Armattan build with DJI O3 unit and Goggles 2.  After finishing the setup in Betaflight I can power the quad on and it will arm and spool up normally.  But if I disarm it, I cannot get it to re-arm unless I cycle power.  I keep thinking there is something I am forgetting here.  I've tried throttling up and back down, switched the arm switch on/off multiple times....Ugh.  Any idea what I am either forgetting to do or maybe something messed up in my BF setup?  I've attached a dump file if that helps.

Thank you!

i am no good at reading BF dumps, but does your OSD give you any warnings as to what the issue may be?

I'm working my way through that right now. Using a YT video. Just doesn't make sense that it will arm fine once, but not after that.

it is really odd to me, but the warnings the OSD gives can be super helpful. you could also try plugging it into betaflight before taking the battery off, and see the disarm flags there. One of them will be MSP (which is the USB connection) but anything else could be your issue

Thanks Matt, appreciate your input.  I'm working through all the troubleshooting stuff I can find and ran across what might be the culprit, I'm just not sure how to fix it.  On the setup tab under the "info" section I'm seeing a message that says:  Arming Disable Flags: NOPREARM MSP  (see the attached pic).  I suspect that I may have inadvertently put in a 2-step arming switch but I don't see anything in the modes tab that indicates such.  And if I did, I'm not sure why it arms the first time even.  But I will keep walking through what I can and will report back when I figure it out.  If you anyone has further ideas I'm all ears!

2step arming would be called prearm in the modes tab, but youre not seeing anything under that? very strange. The photo did not post either, i often have to use IMGUR

A relatively simple solution would be to reset to defaults and start over. Just mentally take notes (or photos) of your config, receiver, modes tab, OSD, etc, and see if the issue follows you over to a fresh setup.

Yep, just figured it out and learned a little bit at the same time. The "MSP" was just because I was still plugged into BF. But I had indeed input a pre-arm switch and because on the modes tab I had the "Hide unused modes" slider off, the pre-arm switch was way down at the bottom of the list where I hadn't scrolled to and so I didn't even see it. Simple fix once I figured out the flag issue. Thanks for your help, it's all go to go now.
