I saw a few reviewers getting out about a mile, and one reviewer only got out to about 500m before signal was lost and the RTH kicked in (albeit with a couple of trees in between). So that is quite disappointing when coupled with the short flight time from the battery (one UK reviewer was getting ~8 minutes flying it in sport mode). Scroll down to the "FPV Racer" section in the link below for details. This is chargeable software @ 25 Euros for a lifetime license which covers one drone. Marketing strategy. I saw the original video and boy ohh boy the excitement the pilot had at the end of the video. I think it's worth a watch for anyone considering buying the DJI FPV Drone.
Sean and Ian who have been exclusively flying camera drones until this thing came along also share some good discussion points of it from a camera drone pilot's point of view.
They all make it clear that none of them really understand who this hybrid drone is actually targeted at or what it is really good for.
All of these people bought the DJI FPV Drone with their own money.
