0 Have been flying fpv now for a year it's awesome...But my box googles have now stopped working seem to have a issue with the plug for battery..it randomly switches off!! Not great having a blank osd.
So am on a budget and looking for new or good secondhand kit..
Have used fatshark HDOs mate has.. quality bang on just pinched on my nose ? maybe the face plate was worn out.
I do like the look of the skyzone 020 but don't know anyone that has a pair, should I chance it and hope they fit.
Am around £200 mark to spend really.Have seen a secondhand pair of fatshark V6 for that.
Anyone fly with these googles to help me choose thanks???

11 I’m looking for binocular type goggles but right now Fatshark has fallen off the map and Orca says they have something coming but they can’t make goggles until chip are available.
Here’s a video that may help you decide.

I have a set and they also work with HDZero.
If I could see using 04X I’d grab them.
I didn't realize Skyline may be effected by the chip situation for it seems according to posts on Facebook they may be having issues.

786 It sounds like the Skyzone SKY04X goggles will be out of your budget anyway but be aware that current batches of those goggles seem to have a number of hardware and firmware complaints from unhappy users right now so recommending the SKY04X goggles at this point in time would be difficult.

121 07-Dec-2021, 01:48 AM (This post was last modified: 07-Dec-2021, 01:48 AM by Lemonyleprosy.) If the fat shark v6 you’re referring to are Attitude v6, I fly with those and I like them. If I recall correctly they were one of the few options that fit my IPD.
I didn’t like the stock vrx module, but I didn’t give them much of a chance- I bought them used and when the previous owner reinstalled the stock module they damaged the ribbon cable plug.
Keep in mind they do have the same shell as HDO’s. They pinch my nose a bit as well but I’m pretty sure that’s just because I need some new foam, it’s really thin and flat over the nose bridge.
Dangerous operations.
Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

11 Skyzone may be having some problems for they too are trying different chips but getting lots of negative comments on Facebook.Much more than usual.
They are also coming out with a new receiver rapidX and whether it’s to fix the issues with trying different chips I don’t know.
I contacted Orca 6 weeks ago and they won’t make headsets until they get chips to do so.
There’s several other items effected by chips so it may be the worst time to get any new headsets with chip situation.
Manufacturers are using different chips than they were designed with it sounds like.
I have heard pilots say if you have V1 rapid mix don’t update or get V2 or V3.
Doesn’t look like a good time to get goggles??
I’d still like to get a good set but of what brand?
