Motor Problem with Moblite 6 | HELP PLEASE
#1
Hey guys, new here in this forum, fairly new to FPV.

After a recent crash indoor I have a problem with one of my motors on my Moblite6. It won't spin when armed.
But here comes the catch, this is not always the case.
50% of the time it won't spin, but with a little push of my finger (one or two clicks), it begins spinning again. In this state flying is possible without any disadvantages.
40% of the time it won't even start spinning with that push. Then only disarming and trying again helps.
10% of the time it spins without any problems.

I havent found anything like this online, just that it won't spin in any case or it won't spin in the same speed as the other motors.

What I did until now:
  • checking in Betaflight Configurator, everything is normal. On the motor tab the sliders work with the other 3, with the faulty one it is the same percentages as above, nothing different than without a PC
  • Measuring the soldering connections at the board with a multimeter. I have a connection between any 2 of the 3 cables to the faulty motor.
  • I tried increasing the idle value, did not change anything
  • Opend the motor to check for any dirt or something like that, nothing, same problem as before.
What I did not do until now is to resolder the motor (also because the connection is fine) and also I did not yet change the faulty one with aworking one.
That I will try on the weekend, if noone has any advice for me. If you have an idea, please share it, I am getting desperate.
Thanks in advance

Try swapping that suspect motor with one of the other 3 that you know works well. If the suspect motor still behaves badly when soldered to a different ESC and the other good motor works fine where the suspect motor was originally soldered to, you know it's the motor at fault, otherwise it's the ESC.

you can try increase startup power in esc settings a little bit, to 0.75, as a try.
i know simular issues from 1s quads, it flys normal but doesnt startup as it should - my solution is ignorance xD
a near death motor does the same, swapping would give the answer.

Sounds familiar and I have had to clean out tiny bits of debris in motors.
A few tiny drops of oil will do wonders.
Turn quad upside down and put some 3in1,sewing machine or marvel mystery oil in a bottle cap and dip a toothpick in oil and put it on shaft where eclip is a few times.Spin props a bit and you’ll see when enough is used.
It doesn’t take much and if too much is used turn quad upright with paper towel under it and it’ll seep out what isn’t needed.
I don’t know if Mob6 uses bushes or bearings but a drop of oil should be used anyway and you’ll notice a difference in performance right away.
Just don’t use WD40 or a cleaner.
