And it's just amazing that the little thing has all of the usual Betaflight features that we know and love. I clipped a tree with mine, and the resulting crash broke one of the prop shrouds. I've glued it with E6000 and we'll see if that works. I am not optimistic that the frame is going to survive very long. I'm leaning towards flying it very aggressively outdoors on the theory that it's going to be short-lived no matter what I do. The props are just press-on, and I've had a prop fly off twice now. Of course, when one comes off it propels itself into Never Never Land. I'm learning to make sure they're on all the way before each flight. So far I haven’t had any more problems since doing that. I also like to use flouresent orange on the front so when I fly los it’s easier to tell orientation. Actually I do that on all my dones Posts: 465 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 187 in 119 posts Likes Given: 88 Joined: Aug 2018 Reputation: 6 (02-Dec-2018, 01:16 AM)Garrace Wrote: I found that by putting a layer of duct tape on the outside of the prop shroud ring makes them much more resistant to breaking . Reviews on this little guy are very good, hope I don't have to wait too long....... What are the difference between these two? 1: https://www.gearbest.com/brush-fpv-racer...id=1433363 2: https://www.banggood.com/Happymodel-Mobu...rehouse=CN The only difference that I can tell is the props are different colors and the one on banggood has a BB2 ESC upgrade? Why is one of them for preorder while the other one isn't? Thanks!!! • Posts: 1,312 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 832 in 504 posts Likes Given: 372 Joined: Jul 2018 Reputation: 51 The should be exactly the same. The ESC is integrated into the flight controller and they're both running the same Crazybee F3 Pro. Just make sure you order the right RX! Gearbest probably just doesn't have stock. To be honest their stock numbers are regularly outright lies a little inaccurate. The ground is for dead people. Don't always assume the picture is showing what you'll actually end up with. A lot of the most recent reviews on Banggood show photos of them with black props and not red props shown in the product listing. - It's flimsy and won't last very long
The frame of mine is already destroyed from clipping a tree and spinning into my gravel driveway. Yes, spare frames are cheap, but you have to consider the effort of migrating the components to a new frame after every little crash. However, it's super fun on 2S if you have a place to fly where you're not likely to have a hard crash. Here's a flight video I made before I damaged mine: One final note: check the props before every flight and make sure they're pressed securely onto their shafts. I've had props pop off twice. That doesn't end well! Posts: 41 Threads: 12 Likes Received: 8 in 6 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Aug 2018 Reputation: 0 Boy your camera is way better than mine. I heard it works really well with whoop frames. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074M7...6bccc5f716 • Posts: 465 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 187 in 119 posts Likes Given: 88 Joined: Aug 2018 Reputation: 6 (05-Dec-2018, 11:11 PM)Garrace Wrote: Boy your camera is way better than mine. I haven't checked. • Posts: 465 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 187 in 119 posts Likes Given: 88 Joined: Aug 2018 Reputation: 6 (05-Dec-2018, 11:59 PM)bret1267 Wrote: How about use some welder glue instead of buying a new frame? Unfortunately, the crash knocked a piece out of my propellor shroud and I wasn't able to find it. This happened even though I had put duct tape around the shrouds as Garrace recommended. I'm thinking some kind of one-sided foam tape might protect the frame better, if such a thing exists. • Posts: 1,773 Threads: 30 Likes Received: 1,199 in 755 posts Likes Given: 714 Joined: Oct 2016 Reputation: 45 RaceDayQuads is stocking Mob7 parts, frame is still shown as "coming soon" though. I ordered some spare motors and a couple of the little black battery holder thingies as I'm sure it won't be long before I lose one. Dude, where's my quad? • Posts: 4 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 2 Joined: Dec 2018 Reputation: 1 (06-Dec-2018, 12:46 AM)SJChannel Wrote: I'm definitely going to buy some of that glue.
