The last three weeks have been a complete hellscape with icy 20+ mph winds. It's not fun driving 1.5hrs out to a spot and getting blasted in the face with what feels like a biblical swarm of locust the moment you plug in your lipo, which happened to me TWICE. Finally got a day where the weather wasn't so oppressive and also found a cool weekend parking lot to rip up
I'm running a new FETtec stack on this build and initially had some issues with the flight characteristics that resulted in a sluggish/laggy feel. Slight adjustment to my rates and PIDs helped quite a bit, but I think it might have something to do with the filtering since reducing the YAW Filter from 35 to 5 seemed to remove a lot of that sluggishness <- nope. By the time I recorded this video, the quad was feeling almost identical to my Flyduino build and I'm hoping another day of PID tuning and adjusting the filter settings will bring it up to par with my expectations.
Who knows, maybe the source of the issue is something I'm overlooking.
Still had a lot of fun gassing the lot and trying new shit!
I'll cap the "Learning FPV" bit on day 100.
