KISS FC borked board?

Hi guys,

Not sure if anyone has a lot of experience with the KISS FC, it's my first build using one (with KISS ESC's too).

I've not managed to get this thing to fly, it barely flys in level mode and acro just goes nuts. In level mode it slowly pitches forward and any attempts to give input to correct result in violent rocking backwards and forwards. If I connect to the KISS GUI I can see that AngleY is not moving in proportion to my manual pitching of the quad, it just seems to jitter between -20 and +20 degree's. In fact if I roll the quad and watch AngleX incremental correctly, it appears that AngleY is incrementing too, almost like they're bonded.

I've tried contacting the folks at Flyduino but I'm wondering if their on holiday at the moment as its gone a bit quiet.

Any ideas for testing?

I never could get any of the 4 KISS Boards to ever work reliably ALL the time, one day they would arm, next day they wouldn't, and on went the list of complaints.
I also tried to contact Flyduino but never ever got a reply, so in the end I gave 2 boards away, swapped one for a DoDo board and have one sitting in my drawer gathering dust.

Not saying they are crap, just saying the ones I had were crap for me.

So I can't help you I'm afraid.

Thanks for the feedback, I'd heard such good things about the kit and the support, although I'm yet to be convinced.
I bought a new KISS FC, resenting the fact that I had to due to lack of response from Flyduino and indeed it does seem to be the board that's borked.

I used KISS FC, but only fly in Rate mode...
sounds very much like a faulty board? have you maybe tried updating the firmware? Also try to reset all settings... sometimes it could be rate or PID that mess it up..

Hi Oscar, I only normally fly in rate too unless its a new build and Im testing. I update the firmware to RC28 and did a number of resets and recalibrations so have concluded a hardware issue with the acc/gyro but hopefully Flyduino will respond at some point to confirm :/
