So no jokes then eh, that's good to hear. Seems like some progress is being made despite the absence of a solution. What information do you see on the screen? Also, does anything pop-up during flight? Did you say Angle as a description or does it actually say that on the screen? As I recall from the manual, there is no "Angle" mode on this firmware, it should be Normal, Sport or Manual. • Posts: 2,430 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 1,360 in 1,016 posts Likes Given: 787 Joined: Apr 2022 Reputation: 41 Angle is the first two modes, AFAIK, unless Sport is the equivalent of Horizon. Manual is what everyone who has been flying more than a month uses. I like the button that allows you to change speed. I guess they set a different max angle to get the different speed. probably 10, 30 and 50 degrees. So if he is seeing the word Angle on the screen, then something is out of place. Just wanted to double check to make sure we are on the same boat. • Posts: 2,430 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 1,360 in 1,016 posts Likes Given: 787 Joined: Apr 2022 Reputation: 41 Angle might refer to the speed limiter if followed by a number, but then you would have thought they would do something simpler like slow, medium, fast. I think you missed the post about how this is setup as per its manual, or I didn't get the point of your comment. There is nothing labeled "Angle". Its got "N/S/M MODE" for modes and "SLOW/MID/FAST" for the speed limiter • Posts: 2,430 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 1,360 in 1,016 posts Likes Given: 787 Joined: Apr 2022 Reputation: 41 Don't know then. If I ever get my Cetus running, i probably will though. What i meant is maybe they added something to the OSD element. My guess would be the manual was made using a version 1 firmware and we are probably many revisions later by now and it might look completely different to a v1. It could be possible, things like these tend to be overlooked when things are being updated. No point in guessing now until Nigel can confirm the info to us.. • Posts: 38 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 7 in 6 posts Likes Given: 37 Joined: Nov 2022 Reputation: 0 I've actually got my Jumper T-lite to connect to the Cetus x (FrSky). I have control of Arm , Mode, and Speed (Fast, Mid , Slow). But I can't find the channel for Turtle/ Flip mode. Anyone got any ideas?. Likewise for the beeper if it has one. Although I've run out of spare switches! • Posts: 256 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 230 in 147 posts Likes Given: 243 Joined: Oct 2022 Reputation: 8 31-Mar-2023, 10:50 PM (This post was last modified: 01-Apr-2023, 02:48 AM by Brian_OH.) Just because the quad can flip over, doesn't mean you should flip it over, especially outside. If there's something caught up in the props or the duct, you could fry a motor or the board. Safe wise, Flip Over is more an inside thing, but you still need to know your props can freely spin when you flip over inside too, like crashing on a higher pile carpet. I never bother hooking up a buzzer/beeper, but do asign a switch to the buzzer. When I flip the switch, one of the LEDs on the board blinks, and makes it easy to see at night. After saying that about Flip Over, instead of the beeper, I'll flip my Arm switch, give the throttle a quick bump & can hear the motors rev a lot farther away than a buzzer. I rev them quick & disarm them right away. I've never harmed a motor, but I don't let them run for more than an instant, not running hard & longer trying to flip a quad over. Lot cheaper replacing a motor or even two than replacing a quad you can't find. I'll stand up, stretch, take a walk & pick up my quad when it crashes, I've probably been sitting for too long anyway. • Posts: 2,430 Threads: 75 Likes Received: 1,360 in 1,016 posts Likes Given: 787 Joined: Apr 2022 Reputation: 41 I use turtle, but only outside and only when flying on smooth surfaces, like an asphalt car park or quarry. places without grass. If I'm flying over grass, I walk over and pick it up. It is so easy to burn out esc's on 5A and 12A boards if you aren't careful. That broken Cetus sat in my drawer is likely in that state due to turtle abuse. On bigger, more powerful quads it's less of an issue. You are more likely to torch the motor on say a 50A esc, than the esc. It's just that I have a spare switch and I know it's a facility available with the proprietary TX! I admit to being guilty of laziness causing a motor burnout myself - it was only 10 ft away! • |
