A lot of factors.. depends on what fc, who you ask, and what you consider “good”…fpv components are a crap shoot.. china's QC isn’t Seth greatest and components are not consistent. Pilots find a good, durable, reliable component and will “stock up” on them.. unfortunately, after they use up what they have.. the manufacture they relied on may not be as good as they were ..
Check reviews on the component .. if it’s a POS .. the web will let u know ..
Also, keep in mind an lor of “failures” of components can be from user error .not just manufacture failure ..

JHEMCU are pretty good, albeit sometimes inconsistent.  They're cheap and at times worth buying two if you can afford it.  JHEMCU showed some innovation with their heavy spec'd AIOs at 6S and 40A, they were doing these before the higher quality manufacturers came onboard with their AIOs.

Based on the number of issues we have seen reported with JHEMCU hardware in recent months I would personally stay well away from their FCs at present. If something is cheap, it's cheap for a reason. They have a lack of QC and poor customer support from what I've seen.

If you like to gamble then roll the dice and take your chances. You might get lucky Big Grin

Sometimes they’re awesome, sometimes they’re not,

You will have absolutely no luck getting any support from them in my experience. They can’t even be bothered to respond to an email.

It’s really a crapshoot. When you get a good board, it’s amazing- but I’ve also had multiple dead on arrivals or dead on first power up. No, it wasn’t due to user error.
Dangerous operations.

Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about.
I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose.

The fc is the Jhemcu GF30F722.
I can not find any reviews.

The GF30F722 FC uses an ICM42688P gyro which is known to be problematic unless the FC manufacturer has been very careful about how they have designed the power circuit for it. I doubt JHEMCU have bothered taking any care about that.

See the following thread. It's a different FC but from the same manufacturer...

As others said, its part luck, and part "get what you paid for".
Premium $$$ FC or ESC can and do burn and break. JB manages to break lots.

Just a guess. 90%+ FC and ESC are just cookie formula.
Its not like iFlight, JHEMCU or Flywoo have a dozen white coat scientists in a lab analyzing optimal layout.
Obviously they all have QC, plug in USB, check works, flash Betaflight.
But, they only make like what.. a batch of 1000? 5000?

Realize, FC is not a "consumer" product. Its "hobby grade". Its PCB you solder wires to.
Its $5-10 MCU, on a $0.50 PCB with $1-4 of other components sold for $30-100.
A few might have TVS diodes, expensive Japanese capacitors, 8oz copper, LC filter or in some way optimized circuits.

I have about 10 AIO FC. 6+ are JHEMCU. Some died. Some had burned FET I repaired. Can't say if it was me or the MANY MANY crashes.
Only FC that were "broken" out of the box were Flywoo (wrong 5V+USB circuit fried it) and iFlight (SMD falling off).

I think the older JHEMCU with MCU 6000 gyro were outstanding AIO and I have several that are still working after 2 years.
Unfortunately now it’s a guessing game and lots of negative reviews on the gyro they use.
The jhemcu are marked down to 40 bucks on aliexpress which isn’t a good sign they are reliable.

Avant quads is well known for making some of the best micro BNF and they switched from using Jhemcu to HAKRC AIO.
I’m using a HAKRC AIO 20 by 20 35amp and it works just as good as the pre virus Jhemcu.
It has a 3amp BEC and a 9v 2.5amp BEC so it’s good for digital or analog fpv.

For what its worth, my experience of JHEMCU is they are a wholly unreliable supplier, sadly joining an ever lengthening list, "headed" by BetaFPV (Spit).

HAKRC have also been good here...................

I think i will stay away from JHEMCU!

Thank you all for your help!

This HAKRC?
I'm 99% sure everybody uses the same AMG "3A" sync voltage regulator.
Its marked "3A" in datasheet, but most FC mfcr say "2.5A" to avoid smoke from people bad at math.
