Hello,
New here and procured the ISDT 608AC as a beginner/first charger. I'm having concerns with charging and using it as I do not want to burn down my shop.
Batteries used: CNHL 6S 1300mah 100C 22.2V
608 Settings:
Task - Charge
Chemistry - LiPo
Condition - **Condition only selectable from 4.1V to 4.3V** (this concerns me)
Cells - 6S
Current - 0.1A (set it low for my first plug-in)
If I understand this correctly when I plug this into the charger I should see +/- 22VDC reading depending on the charge level. I'm seeing approx 27VDC on the 608AC but seeing 22VDC when reading on the multimeter. I'm thinking that each cell should read about 3.7V and I should be selecting 3.7 on the Condition setting but that is not selectable.
After a few seconds of plugging in the battery and not even selecting an action the FAN kicks on and the wires start warming up. I haven't started a charge cycle and have only let the battery stay connected for less than 1 minutes as something seems very wrong.
Do I have a defective 608AC? I've updated and repaired the firmware from the ISDT support webpage.
Thanks for any help.
Adam
