If it’s too good to be true, you may have just placed an order with Banggood.

Had a recent bad experience with Banggood - wanted to make others aware so they can avoid the inconvenience. This was my first (and last) Banggood order. I was in market for a new set of OLED goggles and was going to go HDO2 but came across a “flash sale” on BG for the Eachine EV300O goggles for $249 (normally these go for about $400-$450). It showed in stock in USA warehouse so I placed order and was excited about my great deal. Several days pass and I check my order and it shows backorder. I contact them and they tell me it is shipping that day (it doesn’t). Follow up later that week and they tell me it is discontinued and I must get refund or exchange for something else. I told them their website still shows it in stock. They said it isn’t and I can exchange for something different. I told them I would exchange for the Skyzone SKY04X GOGGLES for the same price. They agreed to this at the same price (I took screen shots of the chat) and said they would ship in 24-48 hrs. About 4 days later I get a notice that the order has been cancelled and my PayPal refunded. I contact them to find out why and they said payment mismatch - apparently they wouldn’t honor the agreement for the Sky04x at that price. So for the heck of it, I check the website to see if the EV300O goggles were still listed in stock. They were. I contacted customer service and acted like a new customer and wanted to confirm they actually had stock. They confirmed yes they did. I then asked why they told me they didn’t have stock after they sold them to me for $249 and that I had to get refund or exchange. My hypothesis is they will not honor great flash deals like this if they feel they can cancel the order and sell for a higher price to someone else. Long story, but if it can save anyone the irritation that I experienced with this then it is worth it. My lesson to myself- just pay a little more and deal with vendors that have integrity. For those who have not dealt with RDQ- I cannot recommend them highly enough. I have also had good experience with Pyrodrone. Any other great FPV vendors out there?

This is something we have been warning people for sometime on the forum.

Any large purchases are best done via a reputable FPV store.

NEVER buy anything from B**g***d. Period. It is only a matter of time before you face an issue. Unfortunately people only tend to learn the hard way after they've already been burnt. Roll the dice and take your chances but don't say you weren't warned.

I've had a few less than acceptable issues with B**g***d orders. They lie about available stock levels and they lie about estimated shipping dates but they happily take your money immediately and then just string you along and leave you waiting around.

The last issue I had with them a year ago (story in the link below) was the last straw and the way their customer service dealt with it was appalling. Needless to say I haven't spend a single dollar with B**g***d since. I now spend my money elsewhere.

Wow-your story definitely beat mine. That would have been very frustrating to go through. Did you get it resolved in the end?

Yes, eventually. I got an empty box delivered to me 3 months after I gave B**g***d my money and it then took their incompetent customer services another 2 months to rectify the issue and make it right. So I did finally get what I paid for just over 5 months after placing the order, but I lost a whole summer of flying with the new gear and I also lost some hair over that situation that I will never get back. For the savings I made it just wasn't worth all of the hassle and grief that I went through. Never again.

I also got hit with long delivery times for other "promotional" B**g***d products in the past so it wasn't the first time it happened, but it was most certainly the worst of all of my experiences and also the most money I ever spent with a vendor in single order which just added to the stress of it all.
