First FPV Forum for me, but have been a passive reader for a long time now.
Im 28 by now and work full-time on a voluntary basis for a small allowance. For a hobby I love every thing that flys, drones planes and rockets.
I've started in 2016 with drones, just cheap UDI818A ones and started modding them since I work as an electronics technician.
Then I started with my first FPV drone, the Eachine Novice 1 and since have been modding that one. there is nothing original except frame, camera and motors.
Swapped the FC for an F405 2s-4s from Betaflight, TBS Nano VTX, ELRS Lite with box antenna, 2s 70C batteries. It barely fits the FC but I'm not willing to buy a bigger one since I'M still learning and crashing.
Got my hands on a DJI FPV Goggle V1 with analog Receiver in a bundle and got rid of the 15 bucks cheap box Goggles.
I like digging in to the technical part of the hobby but here and then I still need some flying minutes to keep the interest.
I'm currently thinking of getting the Cetus X, since its affordable and I want something to compare to the novice 1
In the future I'm looking forward to the Pavo 25 or even 30 to get some nice cine shots!
Im trying very hard to comply with German drone rules but it's nearly impossible. I Use airmap, only fly 25mW, have the European drone license A1/A3, bought fire-resistant nameplates, have insurance, try to get the radio-thing going wich transmits my credentials, but still I have the feeling, if you don't fly stock DJI for thousands of dollars and get a permit every liftoff with perfectly planned route, then its illegal...
But I hope they see my good will when I break a rule every once in a while..
