Building a wing out of pizza boxes  This is brilliant

Funny stuff....and it seems to fly no worse than any other Wing!....

With a little ingenuity, you can make anything fly. This one from Rotorbuilds is my favorite.

I have all the parts - except the pizza box. Is that cheating? ;D

Just ordered a few servos and an ESC.

SG90 Mini Micro 9g Digital Servo
Htirc Hornet Series 6A 2-4S Brushless ESC

Have a few spare 1104 motors, numerous 2S-3S micro packs and an RX already.  This will be like the projects I raised my kids on...except theirs did not fly...but I digress!

Oscar, you may have started the most epic thread in FPV history! I've done a little research and have decided to go with Little Caesar's pizza box instead of Papa John's, the design is a little more to my liking. Which brings me to my first question: Should the pizza box be folded so that the print is on the inside or the outside where you can see it? I notice that Konrad's is on the inside.

Nah, I'm cheating right now - mine is made from a cardboard that contained a small oven. Is that still cheating if I can make a pizza in that same oven? Hmm.. I HAVE to have pizza now!

I may start a new business, using a pizza box wing to deliver pizza. The possibilities are endless..........

It's butt ugly, feels tail heavy, but should fly ;D



EDIT: lessons learned:
use an ESC with a BEC, not a leftover
use a new receiver, not a depinned leftover
stuff above would probably cut an hour of soldering off the build
use an actual pizza box ;p

I just love this.....who would think you could get a pizza box to provide lift and fly.....fantastic!

I guess pizza boxes are probably lighter than heavy duty cardboard boxes even when they are greasy?
