Good morning (at least for me here in Ohio),
Thought I would introduce myself and give a little backstory that brought me to here.
I am an electrical engineer that is originally from Texas but have been living here in the birthplace of flight, Dayton, Ohio for almost 2 years.
My quadcopter experience up until this point was that someone got me an Eachine E010 as a gift back in 2017 and I played around with that for a few months and then some personal things happened to me and the hobby went the wayside. Fast-forward to March of this year and COVID happens, I was directed to work from home and after playing way too much Call of Duty I dusted off the old E010 and flew it around the house for a couple of days. Thanks to the stay at home orders and my natural engineering OCD tendencies, I went down the rabbit hole that is FPV. I started off small and picked up a AcroBee Lite RTF kit, along with a slew of support gear to go along with it (spare motors, props, frames, batteries, charging board, DC power charger and power supply and a ton of tools).
Flew the AcroBee Lite for a couple of weeks but when I was putting the FC in bootloader mode I touched one of the ICs associated with the VTx and cooked it. Luckily NewBeeDrone was pretty chill about it and said they would fix the board for free as long as I pay for shipping. So I sent it off and at the same time ordered one of their BeeBrain Pro FCs (I wanted turtle mode), and that is what I have been flying for the last week or so as I wait for my board to be repaired.
So needless to say, I have been sucked into this world!
Now to be perfectly honest, it has not been totally smooth. I will be posting some questions in the proper sections today to reach out for some help because I am stuck right now on a few things and I have searched the web for answers and I either cannot find anything or I find conflicting answers.
But I am not going to go into that here. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and below is a few pics of my current drone.
