1 Hi,
So its summer in the west and that means plenty of 95-100 degree days. When I fly on a hot day now the motors come down hot enough where I can hold them only for a few seconds. When it's 75 degrees they are just a little warm but not hot. Should I lower my PIDs to get cooler motors? Or is this normal for very hot days? Just dont want to smoke my brand new F60s.Thanks!

101 Generally, yes - for me at least, if I can't hold em continuously, I ratchet back PIDs. Even if I can hold them but its uncomfortable I ratchet back PIDs so that I have a bit of headroom in case of a crash.

19 Set up a second profile, filters as well as PID tune might be beneficial.
That way you can switch instantly.
Flying 30C plus ambient, most of my quads will keep motors to be comfortable to hold extended without wincing! ;-)

1 Well I decided to rip 2 packs outside today. Ots about 96 degrees here in Utah with no clouds. I ran default PIDs and filtering except for 1.3 on pitch axis tracking slider. Motors are still hot. Am I expecting too much on such a hot day or is that not normal?

27 Its hard to say...
1. fly at dawn/dusk and compare.
2. hot just hovering?
3. is there warbling noise when you do sharp twitch moves?
